2025 MIVCA Pure Michigan Coaches Clinic

The 2025 Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Clinic will be help on January 24th and 25 at Grand Rapids Christian High School.

The lead clinicians will feature many of Michigan’s top Coaches.  

Grand Rapids Rise Head Coach Cathy George and Associate Head Coach Mike Gawlik are set to share their expertise and insights with our membership! As they gear up for their second professional season, these powerhouse leaders bring a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to the table. Get ready to hear from two of the best in the business!

Please join us in welcoming Kristen Kelsay, Michigan State’s NEW Head Women’s Volleyball Coach! Returning to her alma mater, Coach Kelsay will proudly represent our state’s NCAA Division I coaches in her debut appearance at the annual clinic. We’re excited to have her back in Michigan and look forward to hearing from her!

Michigan’s Division II coaches will be represented by Tia Brandel, Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Ferris State University. The Bulldogs have appeared in numerous NCAA Tournaments since Coach Brandel took the reins in 1996, including to the Division II Regional finals last December.

Fresh off a NCAA Division III National Championship Runner-up finish to last years season, Hope College’s Becky Schmidt will represent our NCAA Division III Coaches.

In addition, there will be a roster of other collegiate and high school coaches, both from Men’s and Women’s programs assuring a wide variety of learning opportunities for both genders.
